GeePee2x

intro

Almost everything you need to know can be found at or linked to the wiki. I've written some SDL apps but nothing worth releasing. I do have a grand sub-laptop project that I've wanted to do with my 2x but haven't gotten around to it. For the most part I haven't hacked up my 2x that much - it's mainly a toy for the time being.

power

while rechargable AA batteries make this a highly portable system they only last for a few hours and my charger takes forever to recharge them. i'm not likely to take the 2x to places without power readily available (like the woods) so it's reasonable to be able to plug the 2x into the wall. the two places that seem the most useful are cars and homes. therefore the easiest solution is to take an existing transformer and hack it to meet the gp2x's needs.

since the gp2x uses such a small plug (and i only have one) i've decided to make a dongle which can plug into the CarPowerSupply and the HomePowerSupply.

The power plug for the gp2x gets in the way of your hand so it kinda sucks to have to plug it in. it'd be ok for watching a movie or something like that though.
