JuiceBox

about

the juicebox is a low end pmp targetted at kids. i bought it because they are cheap, has a well supported ARM7TDMI and run ucLinux. They have also been hacked to run custom install of uclinux (hence my interest in the device). I will try not to post anything here that can be found at this place as there is no point in duplicating info.

At least for now i am the main contributer on this page and this page. Interest in the JB seems to have died down and I don't have much time for it anymore.

Sometime later - Do to my involvement with uClinux on the blackfin I pretty much hung up the JuiceBox. Rather than let it sit in a box I've decided to make a picture frame out of it. I have listed details and tools for converting images for use with the juicebox frame on JuiceBoxPictureFrame.

Aug 2006 - i've been working with JbFan to create a custom cart which no one else but prpplague seems to have done. he gave me his expect script which mostly works for me but isn't properly writing to the NAND flash in my custom cart. I put up the JB due to my wedding and now that I spend so much time with the blackfin I don't spend much time with the JB. someday i may pick it up again...

Mar 2006 - found some mistakes on the wiki concerning wiring an xD card into a Juiceware Cart - once I fixed those issues I was able to detect the flash using Joe Bleau's demo code.
