This is a quick, simple hack to safely travel with your big'ol kitchen knives. I was at some fair or something where a guy was doing a knife demo and as a sidebar he mentioned this little trick he used whenever he had to travel with his knives. Here's what he did...

There is so little to this it hardly needs more than a picture but I feel I deserve to write at least a few words.

Take and old phone book and 'roll' it up. Instead try to fold it in half rather than roll it especially if you have a lot of broad blade knives.

Once you have the general shape tape the whole thing shut and stick your knives into it. Try to get it as tight as possible. You now have a safe way to carry your knives around.
